Rosen comes from a retail background in terms of family also. His Russian great-grandfather was an immigrant and a founder of Chozen’s (department store). The store eventually came under his great uncles’ and grandfather’s control as inheritance. When Marc was only 6, he would visit the Iowa-based store on Sunday mornings to assist his grandfather Milo Chozen with moving boxes, replenishing the shelves, and attending customers. The store was sold when he was in high school.
