  1. How is it that my deceased husband (30 April 2017) is still listed as the primary account holder for my account? I have made three trips with his death certificate to the bank in Gainesville, 2 hours round trip, to show them his death certificate and yet nothing happens, he is still the primary account holder. And I receive statements addressed to him, although I have elected to not receive such statements and do my banking electronically. Can you help, please?

  2. I paid off my card and they said I still owed 95.00 in interest.I asked if they could wave the interest they said repeatly they could not.I paid off my discover card and an interest charge came in and when I called they thanked my for paying off my card and waved the interest with a many thanks for being such a good customer…I paid the interest and will be closing my account..I have been a customer of capitol one since 2005 in good standing…They do not care about their customers..What’s in you wallet???NOT CAPITOL ONE!!!

  3. Today I spent over 4 hrs on the phone with Capital One representatives and a floor manager none of whom could resolved the problem of a restricted card. Each time they told me it was fixed, and each time I gave them information it still was not fixed. I finally just cancelled the card and lost all my points because I refused to send them my social security card picture and two other security documents. I would not recommend Capital One! Get any other card but not capital one.! If you are offered a Capital one card, tear it up!!!

  4. Being deaf means I cannot call CapOne on the phone. They used to have Disabilities Assistance with a live chat so I could get my balance and pay it off. This worked well until today. Now you no longer have a disabilities access even though you still have that listed at the bottom of the page. Now I have absolutely no ability to contact CapOne for my balance to pay my bill. I need email addresses for customer service. Are disabled no longer welcome?

  5. The same thing happened to me this morning..I don’t understand. I had my card for emergencies and now I don’t. I have been looking for a telephone number to call corporate directly but have been unsuccessful.

  6. To the office of Richard Fairbanks: Today I received an email saying I had a credit limit change. My credit limit is $6,000.00 or WAS. So I’m thinking I’m getting an INCREASE, but instead a DECREASE to $1500.00!!! And the reason? I paid off my card on time every month ,way above the minimum amount. I kept it paid fof for a reason. The reason they gave was because I wasn’t using the card enough!!! Oddly enough I had just discussed using this card for a down payment on a car for my son. I also am thinking of remodeling my kitchen and bathroom but I have other cards with HIGHER LIMITS than your $6,000 and most certainly I find the reduction INSULTING and with no merit. Reducing my credit limit AFFECTS my credit score. Your company should NOT ASSUME what the customer’s intentions are for the future. I feel my LOYALTY and my business is not appreciated, therefore I’m closing ALL 3 of my accounts with you. Also I’m advising my son to close his, he has a BUSINESS account with Capital One in his Marketing Co. of which he is the CEO and Owner. As previous customers stated I should have been contacted FIRST before just arbitrarily reducing my limit.

  7. I’m really sorry that Mr. Fairbank has not chosen to answer this post. Looks like Capital One is not one I want in my wallet.

  8. Mr. Fairbank,
I have been a Capital One card holder for many years. I received an email saying my card (we have 2) had been cancelled due to inactivity. I was not given warning that a cancellation could happen – if so I would have used it. Because it has a credit limit of $20,000 it made a difference on my FICO score and that concerned me. The score is still in the 800’s but I value it highly. I wrote a letter to Capital One explaining what happened and they replied telling me to call the number provided and “an agent will be happy to assist you with your request to reopen the account”. When I called I was told that they could not do that. I thought you should know about this because it reflects poorly on Capital One. Thank you for any input you may give.

  9. Called multi time to Capital One for help to get my car loan to show up on my credit report they just blow me off . Been going on 2 years still cant get them to help. Just blah blah blah and bye. Also abusive interest rate but just robots at this point i can only warn others after you sign your customer service is gone

    1. The banks of today could care less. About the customer its all about the buck.any one want a response from bank, file a complaint with your state banking department. The the CEO will be calling you back.
