  1. Been a CapitalOne customer for 25+ years. Pay off my balance each month. In the last year, every time I use my card for any type of purchase it gets flagged for fraud. I call, tell them the charges are legit & pay off the card. The first time they wanted a copy of my DL to turn it back on which I provided. The last time they wanted a copy of DL, SSN card (haven’t had the actual card since I was 20) & a utility bill. Can’t talk to anyone in the states, just overseas. Card has been off for months, guess I will just close it.

  2. I am receiving snail mail for another customer at my address but when I call NO ONE will contact the customer to let them know that there is a problem with their mail being delivered to my address. I have talked to 5 departments and 10 people and they all tell me they can’t do anything about this. This is serious fraud and if they cared about their customer they would contact him.

  3. for those who pay off your high balances you still have to pay a interest charge for two billing cycles even tho you paid your bill in full … i think the ceo Richard Fairbanks should address this issue, the only credit card company that does this crooked stuff…. i think before they give you this card they should make it clear not put in that fine print ,if they did that no one would take their card

  4. I got a text a few days ago from Capital One fraud department; The automated message asked if I had made a purchase in the amount of $14.99. I text back “YES.” I talked with several reps who promised they would remove the hold, and three supervisors. They all sent a text to my cell phone with a security number they wanted me to read back to them. Then I was asked by EVERYONE for my: email, credit card number. address. phone number and so on. Even though I gave them all the information required of me, I was told by the final supervisor that I must send a photo id in order to remove the hold. I have spent three days and numerous hours on the phone, had to get in my car and drive to Annex Depo so I could send a fax of my ID. I was disconnected, given “two” case numbers for the same problem and told different things as far as the info I was to fax to fraud department .I AM STILL UNABLE TO USE MY CREDIT CARD; THIS HAS COST ME TIME, MONEY AND AGRAVATION. IF I DONT HEAR BACK SOON I WILL GET A CARD FROM ANOTHER CR COMPANY AND NEVER USE CAPITAL ONE FOR PURSHCES OR ANYTHING ELSE. . . EVER!

    1. Just do what I did. Cancel the card and go back to the website an open a new account. No picture ID needed. No hoops to jump through. Then just join it with the other account. Easy peasy. Capitol One people are just so stupid ignorant.

    2. I agree. I’m going through terrible times with capitol one. I even have late charges tacked on when it’s Capitol Ones fault. This company has my nerves shot. I’m having trouble sleeping tonight because of all that Capitol one has caused. I just paid off my balance and I don’t ever want to hear from them again. I will definitely write a yelp review

  5. I have been attempting to get a replacement card for one I lost 4 weeks ago and each time I receive a new card it comes without a chip. I spoke to the overseas costumer service as well as the state side Tucson office and have been repeatedly falsely reassured that all CapitalOne cards come with a chip. When I attempted to communicate via live chat I discovered that it was farmed out to a third party that wants to charge me for their service. Now it is becoming clearer and clearer that capital one does not have anything close to customer service. I just want my misplaced credit card replaced with one with a chip.

  6. Spoke to the manager and she just said there is no way of making that monthly payment lower with the APR charge. I’m so upset right now, my pressure is rising. You get your first payment and it’s 46.00 and now it’s 141.00 just ridiculous. I’ve never had this problem with any other credit card.

  7. I can’t believe this has happened. I haven’t used my credit card in about 5 years and just decided to get something very important for my house (heating system) that is costing me 5600.00. Before I put the charge on my card, I call capital one and they went through the process of letting me know that I would be paying about 60.00 per month if I put the 5600.00 on the charge (which was okay with me) because I couldn’t afford to pay cash. Well and behold I got the first bill that would be about 56.00 per month which I paid $100.00 on the 7 of January 2022. How about I get a bill this month stating to pay $141.00 per month. If that were the case I would not have gotten that much on the bill. The representative downright lied to me and I’m so upset by this. Please let me know if there is anyway that I can make a lower payment. Thank you much.
