Deepinder Goyal started his food tech company in July 2008 with Pankaj Chaddah, his colleague from consulting firm Bain & Company. Back then Zomato was named Foodiebay.com. However, to avoid legal issues with e-commerce giant eBay, Deepinder in 2010 renamed the company as it is known today.
Zomato’s journey began as a search engine for restaurants where people could check the menu of nearby eateries. I was given a coupon by my company for INR 1000 and then i used INR 365/- . Today i tried ordering for the remaining amount and i am told it is a one time coupon and it has expired. I was not aware of this at all . Now the remaining INR 635/- remains forfeitted and cannot be used at all.
Please refund or allow me to order for the remaining amount.
We would like to inform you about the order ( Order no.: 2760049107) which we placed today on Zomato is not delivered.
The system showing “ the order has been delivered “ but actually it was not delivered .We paid the money in advance.
We reported this incident to ‘Hungary Hub’ Kurukshetra from where the pickup initiated but there was no action taken from their end as well.
We tried to reach delivery boy ,called him 50 times but there was no response from his side .After Calling him continuously ,the Boy picked the call.As per his words he has delivered the meal at right place and surprisingly the way of talking of that delivery boy was not at all acceptable and not upto the mark. When we requested him to come and meet us and show where you delivered this order ,he turned the matter and switched off the call. His last words “Do whatever you want to do “
We ordered this meal as Today is my mother birthday and we will never forget today’s day .
If the drastic action is not taken against this delivery boy I would say sorry to Zomato.

Hi, I had placed an order on 1st July 2021for which the money was deducted but the order wasn’t delivered to my address hence I inquired and requested for refund. It’s been more than 2 weeks and no action has been taken in this direction. This is highly disappointing that even after being connected to Zomato since years they do not bother to address the customers queries.
I have faced this issue for the first time and clearly got the reality check through Zomato that customer services have turned worst.
You are not ready for relationship. Your customer care are pathetic. Never understand customer prospective. We are not leir. Leave happy to leave n switch to swiggy.
