Facebook Promotes Alex Schultz To CMO Role

Facebook’s VP of Product Growth & Analytics Alex Schultz has been promoted to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He takes over from Antonio Lucio who stepped down last month for personal reasons. Facebook’s new CMO has been with the company from 2007.

Through a Facebook post Alex expressed his gratitude towards Antonio for “being a great friend, colleague, creative leader and voice of experience and wisdom” for the company. The outgoing CMO had joined Facebook in 2018 making a move out from HP where he was previously employed.
