  1. “I AM A CONCERNED DAUGHTER OF A PREVIOUS PROGRESSIVE CUSTOMER AND AS A CONSUMER FELT THE NEED TO LEAVE A REVIEW REGARDING THIS COMPANY. MY MOTHER, WHO IS A SENIOR CITIZEN, WAS A CUSTOMER OF PROGRESSIVE FOR OVER 10 YEARS. MY MOTHER WAS OVERCHARGED FOR THE AMOUNT OF OVER $2600. THIS MAY BE A SMALL AMOUNT TO PROGRESSIVE, CONSIDERING THIS A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY, BUT A GREAT DEAL TO MY MOTHER. SHE SPECIFICALLY TOLD THE AGENT, WHO SOLD HER THE POLICY, THAT SHE WAS RETIRED AND NO LONGER COMMUTING TO AND FRO FOR WORK. THE AGENT STILL WROTE THE POLICY AS A COMMUTTING POLICY, WHICH INCURRED CHARGES IN ADDITION TO WHAT SHE ALREADY WAS PAYING. THE AGENT ACTUALLY CHECKED BOTH BOXES AND INSTEAD OF PROGRESSIVE QUESTIONING THE MISTAKE THE COMPANY CONTINUED TO CHARGE THE LARGER RATE. AFTER QUESTIONING THE CORPORATE OFFICE, IN AN EFFORT TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION, MY MOTHER WAS DISAPPOINTED TO HEAR, AGIN FROM THE CORPORATE OFFICE, THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT REIMBURSE FROM THAT FAR BACK. WHAT THE CORPORATE OFFICE SAID THEY COULD DO IS REFUND ONE MONTH OF THE OVERCHARGES. THIS IS A SLAP IN THE FACE AFTER BEING “ROBBED” FOR SO MANY YEARS. AFTER ALL THIS IS A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY AND TO REIMBURSE SOMEONE WHO WAS WRONGFULLU OR FRAUDULENTLY OVER CHARGED IS ONLY FAIR AND THE RIGHT THING TO DO. PROGRESSIVE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS AS DEMONSTRATED IN THIS UNFORTUNATE SITUATION. TO ANY CUSTOMERS CURRENT OR POTENTIAL READ READ READ YOUR POLICY CHECK FOR THE FINE PRINT AND ANY DISCLOSURES. DO NOT TRUST THAT PROGRESSIVE AGENTS HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART, BEACAUSE CLEARLY THEY DO NOT!!!IN THE END THIS COMPANT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. WE DID GET A MUCH BETTER RATE WITH ALLSTATE AND THEY WERE VERY HAPPY TO HELP US. THANKS ALLSTATE YOU RENEWED OUR TRUST FOR OUR OVERALL INSUARNCE NEEDS.”

  2. Ms. Griffith,

I attended and graduated from the same University, Illinois State University, Normal, IL, the same time 1984, as you did. Same class too: Class of ’84, Business Administration (with “Business Ethics” a required “Core” course, although you were an Economics Major). One of my “Minor” degrees was in Economics, I probably passed by you at some time, or sat behind you in one of those “large” lecture halls/auditoriums.

After graduation in 1984, I joined, worked and suffered with the “Very Best” decent, caring team in the world: The United States Army. I recently retired after 34 years in the service, and came home in one piece, physically. I’m proud of that team that worked very well together under not the best of conditions or circumstances (many friends I knew were taken, and others I didn’t, no older than my own children, unfortunately had go “Home” early.

In short, I’m working on a letter to the Illinois State Campus newspaper “Vidette” opinion page which will be titled “The Lives of Two Former Illinois State University Graduates”.

My intent is not meant to hurt others, but to allow you to express your thoughts and opinions of the “Company” you lead, for a country which serves you. I on the other hand will detail 35 years of my life serving the country.

Plese respond/or don’t (letter still goes).

  3. Tricia is a great person and a great manager. Unfortunately she has way too many managers under her that love to manage good people out of the company for their own personal gain. I worked there for over 15 years and was very successful and working under multiple managers that were poor motivators and the last one actually managed me out and forced me to resign. after therapy and drugs I am back on track to being a strong manager and leader with a competitor. So if you want to work here and be happy look elsewhere

    1. Hi Mick,
Im actually suffering something similar with a progressive worker that hates me for personal reasons and is driving me to the edge with the company. Can you give me some insides on who I can contact or maybe help me out.

  4. Still waiting on a call in regards to our claim, progressive keeps changing their mind. It’s been since Oct 27 . It is a handicap van . We are stranded , senior citizens. Is this how you treat handicap senior citizens?? People need to start suing your company
